Nottingham, UK

Tuesday 19th July

We landed at 1:30 am this morning from Malta and arrived at our hostel in the heart of Nottingham around 2am, we were absolutely exhausted and fell straight asleep.

After a good sleep we headed into Nottingham and were met with Sainsburys, Poundland and Tesco on every corner! Oh it's good to be back!

We picked up a classic meal deal from Tesco and then hopped on a bus out to Sherwood forest for the day.

It was such a lovely day out there. We had a picnic lunch out in the field under the sun and listening to the birds and rustling of the leaves in the wind which was so lovely.

We then spent the day wandering through the beautiful forest. It was so relaxing and calming and the perfect way to spend the day.

We hopped on the last bus back to Nottingham later in the afternoon and nipped into Poundland to pick up a few bits on our way back to the Hostel. We had found 5 pounds on the ground in the forest so that was our little bonus to pick 5 things from Poundland! It mainly consisted of soap and shampoo!

Once we'd dropped our stuff back we headed out to a Wetherspoons in the main street of Nottingham and had a good hearty meal with a pint for our first night back in the UK!

Wednesday 20th July

We checked out of the Hostel this morning and left our bags in the luggage room so we could spend the morning exploring Nottingham.

We popped into Starbucks for a mid morning treat, intrigued by their new range of frappes. We tried the cookies and cream frappe and it was amazing! While we sat having our coffee, watching the world go by, we also downloaded the 'Wizards Unite', Harry Potter game that's out in the UK onto our phones. It's kind of like Pokemon go, but has much more to it.

We then spent the morning exploring the beautiful city of Nottingham and playing the game along the way!

Nottingham is beautiful, it's a really cute place, but also has modern infrastructure at the same time. We both really love it here.

We then picked up a meal deal to take with us, collected our luggage and hopped on the train to Harpenden to spend the next few days with Uncle Noel and Auntie Carmel.
